Cannot recommend enough . Beautiful food . Chose both off specials and usual menu . Had to be the best steak we’d ever eaten out. All the food cooked brilliantly . The staff were so friendly and made great recommendations . Felix was spot on with the wine and Edie introduced us to a beautiful white Port . Both so generous with their time on a busy night. Atmosphere was just right . Will definately be back when we’re in Cardiff again

We had a great meal here, having pre booked a table on line. If you’re going, make the most of the Portuguese food and order the hanging skewers (which hang from a hook on the ceiling), we had steak and chicken. They also drip garlic butter over it if you want. It was accompanied by battered cauliflower, peas and potato squares. There is a limited range of starters, we had garlic mushrooms and scampi. There is a good range of desserts.
Overall I’d recommend going for the skewers!

Fantastic food, good value, great service, top atmosphere. Probably could do with a better veggie selection

Popped in to the Madeira with a friend, who had previously recommended it. One main course of swordfish, as fresh as if we had been on a Portugese beach. Served with sauted potatoes, fried battered cauliflower, piri - piri rice and peas. Washed down with a bottle of Sagres beer. A gem of a place with genuine Portugese staff who created a fabulous atmosphere.

We came here on a Wednesday evening and were surprised how busy it was. Clearly this is very popular restaurant, which generates a lively atmosphere. The food was well-cooked and the portions were generous. Although we didn't try the skewers, they looked good and several tables appeared to be enjoying them.

The service started off excellent, we were served the starters and mains very quickly, but there was quite a long wait before our desserts came out and we had to ask for the bill twice. However, this wouldn't put me off returning and I would like to come here on a weekend as I'm sure the atmosphere would be even more lively.
