“Quiet, dog friendly retreat”
Reviewed 24 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The property is extremely well equipped with tech and facilities.
Our dog had a welcome pack of treats, poo bags, shampoo with a bed provided.
There was a also a pack for us too!
It is located in a quiet area with footpaths and lanes close by.
The owner, Helen, is lovely and was always available by phone to assist or advise.
She helped me get the tv to work as I found it a bit complicated! She arranged a visit to her new place so we could feed the alpacas which was a key reason my wife booked the lodge.
It was clean, scented and we arrived to find gentle music playing through Spotify

Liked best: Peace and quiet, shower, hot tub, stroking & feeding alpacas
Liked least: Finding the alpacas had moved although I understand we arrived just as the owners had moved home.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 9 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

By far one of the best holiday lodges we have ever stayed in. Helen has literally thought of everything you could possibly need for a relaxing week away. Me and my partner work long hours everyday and this is just what we needed, there was nothing better than waking up in the morning, opening the door to hear the stream running by and the robins greeting you on the decking, absolutely beautiful. We both loved the 'Chill Out' playlist on spotify and the walking routes provided was a great help, there really are some lovely walks to go on just from the lodge. We also took our dog, he was provided with a hamper on arrival and a memory foam mattress to sleep on, thankyou for making him feel so welcome! We are already looking to book again and hope to see you again next year!

“Amazing dog friendly luxury lodge, don't hesitate to book!”
Reviewed 23 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We chose Brecon Retreat based on all the positive reviews - we were not disappointed! The lodge is finished to a very high standard, Helen and Chris have created a luxury dog friendly space perfect for relaxing and unwinding in. We loved so many things about the lodge including the hot tub, big bath, comfy bed and sky Tv and of course being so close to the stream and beautiful views. Our dog Sophie also loved the lodge - she was left a comfy bed, crate, treats, shampoo, towels and sofa throws for if she wanted to lounge with us on the sofas! Helen and Chris left really useful guides in the lodge including walking routes. We had a great time and have nothing negative to say, if you are looking for a luxury base that is very dog friendly then don't hesitate to book! Thank you Helen and Chris, we look forward to coming back.

“Highly recommend ”

This was our second visit to the sound of the stream and won't be our last. The accommodation is stunning with everything you would need for a short break and more!. We especially love the little details, the welcome pack for dog and us which is always well received. The location is secluded with the beautiful river a gorgeous focal point perfect for relaxing, but you are close to a lot of points of interest around the brecons so a great base from which to explore. The village of Brecon is a very close drive away great for picking up any essentials.

The best aspect about sound of the stream is that you have a 5* accommodation that you can share with your 4 legged member of your family.
