“Ideal for Snowdon”
Reviewed 14 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Booked to stay here as we wanted to go up Snowdon and it was a short walk away. Also a lake and the Slate Mine Museum/Quarry Hospital within walking distance.
As oldies we found the stairs a but scarey but managaged not fall down them in the middle of the night on the way to the loo (as oldies have to do). The TV did not work because of a fault and we were given a discount because of this. We had a lot to read and our ipads so the boys were able to watch a bit of football, so all was not lost. It was lovely to be able to sit and have a leisurely breakfast and in the evening a cosy lounge to sit and talk with a glass of wine or read. A very relaxing holiday.
We recommend Pete's Eats (especially the chips) and for a nice evening meal Lake View Hotel just up the road (we went there 3 times).

I am so sorry for the broken TV during your stay - it is now fixed. I'm pleased you enjoyed your stay at the house and time in the village. I hope you will think of us in the future if you return to North Wales.

“Even Better than we'd hoped !”
Reviewed 26 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

What a perfect place for a Snowdon adventure. The house was perfect, we arrived in darkness and when we looked out the windows the next morning, the sight that greeted us was breath-taking.
Just a short walk from the foot of the Llanberis path meant that all we had to do was get up and go, and it made the end of the walk so much easier when we didn’t have to go very far before we had a well-earned rest.
The house was exactly what we’d hoped for, cute and quirky, with lots of rustic features without feeling dark and cold. Quite the opposite in fact, it was so cosy, the wood burner was perfect for cwtching up after a long day.
Even the 3 staircases were cute – although hard work after our walk!
Ella had left us tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and the kitchen had just about every utensil and item of crockery we could ever need. And a well-stocked pile of logs for the fire, which we still tried to light even though the heating was thoughtfully put on timer ready for us when we came in.
The bath is huge, as other reviews have mentioned and just what was needed after a walk up Snowdon. The notice board in the kitchen has plenty of takeaway menus and places for food which was most useful.
There’s a huge variety of books, DVDs and games should you want and to be fair most genres are catered for, no matter how random.
Ella was in touch all through the booking process with quick helpful answers to any questions I had and she took the time to text and check we’d arrived safely and also let us stay another hour the day of departure as no one else was coming that day.
Can’t recommend enough. We hope to visit the area again later this year and I’ll be disappointed if we can’t stay here again cause it was perfect.

“Nice location, beware the stairs!!!”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Perfect location for exploring snowdonia, beware the steep stairs and the fact that you can hear every noise if you're staying with friends! In all lovely cottage, well placed for the Lynn peninsula with plenty of places on the doorstep, dog friendly but they may struggle with the stairs, owner available if need be and texted us after we'd arrived to check we were ok,
