“A well-located gem of a cottage.”
Reviewed 8 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

This is a gem of a cottage with all home comforts... and more! What's not to like? The location is very close to the centre of town with river, shops and restaurants. Inside it is cosy and comfortable - just the right size for 4 adults. We look forward to returning in the warmer weather when we can make use of the patio areas (although we did enjoy the wood-burning stove) It was very well equipped and the welcome pack was yummy! Thank you!

“We didnt want to go home”
Reviewed 26 November 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Meet by Christine the owner, with a wonderful warm greeting and amazing welcome package. This charming 4 bedroom cottage is full of quirky character, with all the modem con's we need for a very comfortable two week holiday. Games, books, magazines even a radio, plus lots of leaflets & booklets of places to visit all provided by owner.
Parking is not a problem as there is parking outside cottage for one car and Christine showed us where to park for free, just a few yards from cottage for our other two cars. The cottage is tucked away, so it is quiet and peaceful, even though
Llangollen town centre is just two minutes walk away, with shops, pubs, cafes, steam train station, horse drawn boats, a market and restaurants (highly recommend 'Gales' amazing food & host). We hired a canal boat for the day great fun. Not to be missed is Plas Newydd stunning house full of history and lovely grounds and great café, just a few minutes from the cottage.
Great base for water sports, walking, and exploring the surrounding area. Or just relaxing. Sad to leave the cottage, however we will return.

“Comfortable Holiday Home in Excellent Location”
Reviewed 8 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

The house is very comfortable, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms (including one en-suite with a shower and one bathroom with a bathtub), kitchen, a comfortable lounge/dining room with a log burner, and an outside patio area with a table and chairs. The location is very central to Llangollen, yet off the main road. Llangollen itself is set in beautiful scenery and has numerous shops, eating places, and various tourist attractions, as well as being a base for outdoor activities. We felt very welcome at Godre Berwyn and are already making plans for a return visit.

“A beautiful cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 18 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

I don't really want to write this review , then you too might discover this fabulous cottage, it is a gem, set just off the town centre of Llangollen , a perfect hideaway or base for your Welsh holiday.
The cottage looks like something out of a fairy tale, quaint and quirky, with wonky floorboards and walls and an eclectic mixture of furnishings that just all go together perfectly. A lovely touch was the basket of goodies in the kitchen when we arrived, which allowed us to unpack and get sorted before having to source a supermarket ( there is a new Aldi a short walk along the river.)There is a car parking space next to the cottage with further parking only a few metres away and charged at £3.50 for the whole day! The cottage is ideally situated for visiting Plas Newydd and the canal and steam railway is just a short walk away.
A fabulous base for visiting North Wales, we would definitely book again.
