Picked this hotel for its location and reviews. Location for our needs was fine but the hotel appears to have last had some money spent on it sometime in the 1980's, judging by the colour and style of décor and, certainly in our room, the wallpaper peeling off what appeared to be a damp patch on the wall and a worrying 'hole' in the floorboard right by the bed (we didn't dare lift the carpet to see, it might have worried us more!). The room did not appear to have been cleaned very well, as there was a high degree of 'fluff' and other unidentified detritus on the floor by the window and a hairgrip on the bathroom floor! Incidentally, they appear to have attempted to conceal the peeling wallpaper and the un-vacuumed floor, by placing a chair in front of it! Continental breakfast was included in our price (and was ok as far as toast and cereal can be). We decided NOT to try dinner in the hotel (previous reviews on that and the fact that reception were not surprised at all, proved this!) and instead, went to Fouzi's Italian pizzeria in town (about 10-15 mins stroll) where we had a lovely meal in good surroundings and friendly staff. We would NOT recommend this hotel and will NEVER stay there again!

Spent 3 nights here. Service was good. Views lovely. Very nice little walk into Llangollen. Nice bar area. Breakfast nice. Good rates. It isn’t luxurious but the prices reflect that and we will stay again. Catered for gluten free. Didn’t use Spa but looked nice.

Arrived at hotel early but told our room was ready we had a standard room but it was more like a delux.Went for drink in the bar and sat outside what a lovely area to sit in by the river and fantastic views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Evening meal was very nice . Would definitely go again .

Thank you for your review.

I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and you were happy with your room. It really is lovely to be able to sit out on the terrace and enjoy the views especially if the weather is kind to us.

I do hope you will return for a further visit.

Kind regards

Friendly staff in great location with lovely views of the river Dee. Was once probably fantastic hotel but in desperate need of renovation. Curtain rail hanging off the wall, window would not close properly and much of external paint and wood work needs lots of TLC. Large dining room and evening meal was nice, but we were the only ones eating there which as a shame.

Thank you for reviewing White Waters Hotel.

I am pleased to read you found the staff friendly and appreciated the beautiful views.

Regarding your feedback on the maintenance side of the hotel I can assure you that a renovation project will be operational in the autumn months once the summer season comes to an end. Extensive redecoration of public areas and rooms will take place.

I do hope you will consider revisiting later in the year.

Kind regards
