If you want a little Welsh cottage nestling in gorgeous countryside away from it all with the most amazing views then this is the place for you. The cottage has everything you need and more with highlights for us being the space outside perfect for our woofer, the patio area with barbecue and chimenea, and the woodburner inside. Chris and Sandra were lovely and couldn't be more helpful - they even gave us a big bowl of cherries they had picked one morning! The cottage is well looked after with a well stocked kitchen, great WiFi, a good hot shower and was very clean. We walked up Sugar Loaf Mountain directly from the front door and walked to the pub a short distance away. Abergavenney is a great little market town and we shopped locally for all our supplies. Do not hesitate to book this little gem - you really won't regret it.

Our stay was great. We arrived and Chris and Sandra told the central heating was out until they could get fuel oil. They had electric heaters in the cottage but if we wanted to go somewhere else they would help us find a spot. We declined to go anywhere else. The cottage was warm and there was hot water for showers. By the end of the next day, the central heat was on and we had no problems.
Sandra and Chris were both very charming and helpful and welcoming. They had good advice on where to go. Ruth's favorite meal of the trip was the fish and chips we got from the shop Chris recommended.
The spot is in a beautiful setting and we are glad we stayed here.

Hello both
It was great to meet you both at last - (deferred booking from last year) - and I am glad the weather was kind to you. We were really impressed with your itinerary and will pass it on to other guests who want to make the most of their stay.
Hope to see you again in the future
Sandra

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting. The private access onto Sugar Loaf was brilliant for the dog! The cottage was warm and very homely, the Wifi and log burner excellent! Thanks for a memorable stay!

The cottage is everything you could hope for if you are in need of a stress free break. We loved our holiday (and the dogs did too). The cottage is beautiful, peaceful and cozy and we spent hours walking in the surrounding area.
The wifi is fast and reliable, enabling us to work hassle free in the evenings.
The kitchen has everything you need and provides a relaxing environment for cooking in.
We cannot wait to go back.

We loved our wonderful stay in Shepherd`s Cottage. Sandra and Chris were great, very helpful but not intrusive. Abergavenny is a beautiful town, and it`s market is exceptional. We loved the cottage. It was cozy, well equipped, and had stunning views from the patio. The beautiful property is perfectly located to visit Brecon Beacons, Cardiff, the Pembrokeshire Coast, Monmouthshire and beyond, and it`s great for a stroll and a picnic from the paths leading into the hills around the property. We highly recommend staying here for a holiday. We loved it and hope to come back.
