I do like eating here, but its not perfect.
On this occasion, I wanted something cooked but not overwhelming. You know what its like, you order a sandwich and get crisps, salad and before you know it, its a big meal.
Nichols offer a small plate, aimed at the over 60s and children. No, not chicken nuggets! My wife chose Lasagne which came with a salad garish . She deemed it very good , and it was certainly hot but just a tad dry.
My choice was the chicken curry which came in a small bowl, with saffron rice and a naan bread, again, very hot.
We both agreed it was very good value at £3.95 per plate and as we both drank water, lunch out for under £8
The downside was the long wait for food : service, was otherwise very good.So do allow for this when you time your visit as Nichols claim food is cooked to order and moreover, identify using many local products.
The eating environment I find open and pleasant.
