“A Place in the country”
Reviewed 16 December 2013 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed for just one night last weekend and next time we are in the area we would have no hesitation of staying again and for longer. A warm welcome and a wonderful room with stunning views. A home cooked breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake.

“Perfect Weekend!”

Our first ever stay in a B&B so we were not completely at ease but our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating in every way. On arrival we were greeted very warmly and almost instantly, a dinner reservation was made on our behalf at the Dragon, Llanelly (amazing food, great bar, worth every penny!), a taxi was booked and we were shown our beautiful room.

From every window we saw the most fantastic views including the Sugar Loaf and this continued into our huge ensuite with roll top bath and walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable, we had drink making facilities and a tv which we took advantage at bedtime, the room was large but felt pleasantly cosy as well. We found it a bit strange hearing everyone else moving about and likened it to staying with family which I hope it taken as a compliment. Once the house closed for the night the whole house settled, once the house awoke we all awoke, just like being at home visiting the parents.

We also found the lounge on Saturday evening with its huge log burner and enjoyed curling up to watch a movie, in fact we were so relaxed we almost dozed off. Had we not been going out for the evening I am sure we would have been found snoozing happily on the massive sofa!

Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and tasty, there was a lovely selection of fruit/cereal/yoghurts/toast and of course, a full welsh breakfast with tea/coffee/juice. Our only 'complaint' was we would have easy eaten seconds as it was just so tasty, you could tell it was all local and cooked to perfection. I could have sat in the dining room all day looking out of the french windows at the most amazing view, it is in such a picturesque spot!

We will be staying again, we may even do that walk up the Sugar Loaf eventually but next time it wont just be for one night.....After all who goes home for just one night :)

“Perfect escape to the country!”

We only stayed one night at Celyn Farm and we wished we stayed longer! Absolutely beautiful location with stunning views. Big, comfortable rooms. Spacious living room with the biggest fire place with wood burning stove we've ever seen! I cannot describe the views waking up in the morning with the sun shining over the hills. Sarah was very welcoming and attended all our needs (even gave us her phone charger as we have forgotten ours). She recommended a great pub about 3 miles away from the farm in which food was delicious and hospitality exceptional! We will be coming back in the summer!

Dear Aggie,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. It was a real pleasure to have met you. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, the bedroom, the views and the wood burning fire. The pub that you went to was called the Dragon's Head in Llangenny, we highly recommend it to our guests for the great welcome, and a real taste of a good country pub. We look forward to welcoming you back in the Summer.
All the best

Very warm welcome & attentive to our every need. Excellent tasty breakfast with great selection. One of the other guests asked for marmite and the next morning there was a large jar on the table. Very comfortable room, lovely en suite. Good detailed directions provided in advance with the confirmation email. Useful information on local places to eat. Would highly recommend. Thank you for making us so welcome. :-)
