“Not as pet friendly as we'd hoped”
Reviewed 30 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We returned early - we had booked until Saturday but could only manage it until Wednesday. Very small chalet with little room for us, never mind the dogs. There was no secure area to allow the dogs to be outside, without supervision, and no room in the chalet to accommodate 4 adults and 2 dogs. The communication and helpfulness of Diana can't be faulted and there was little she could do that would have made the holiday any better. The fact that it was described as "pet friendly" was a bit of a stretch as nothing was done to make it fit this statement, as even the poolside bar didn't allow dogs in - even though it was stated in the comments that they were made welcome. If we wanted to go out to eat it meant one of us had to stay home with the dogs - or sit outside - but as it was probably the wettest week in June when we went, this was not possible. The weather - although impossible to change - made it even more of a problem as there was nowhere to dry clothes etc and the launderette cost £4 a wash and then another £4 to dry the load! Another thing that should have been mentioned was the steep hill up to the chalet. I'm waiting for knee surgery and really struggled going up and down it to empty the bin, so I would not recommend it to anyone who may have similar health issues. A problem I also had was having to take the dogs out on their leads to go to the toilet late at night, as there were no lights on and it is completely dark on the complex and I had 2 leads and the torch on my mobile phone to lead the way as I traversed the wet slippy road and had to go down the steep metal stairway and then up the steep hill! Terrifying!! Saying all this, I would still recommend it to non-pet owners as it is well situated and there are a lot of choices for places to go. It just wasn't for us.
A word of warning, if you go into Conway, please don't stub your cigarette out on the ground, as my daughter was fined £75! I KNOW she should have put it in a bin, but there were none around and before it had time to cool enough for her to pick it up to dispose of it the "man-from-the-council-with-the-cctv-camera-around-his-neck " rushed over and issued her with a £75 fine, apparently it doesnt matter if you offer to pick it up, they still caution you and issue the fine! AND they don't HAVE to provide bins for you to dispose of them, you're supposed to carry the potential fire hazardous item with you until you find a bin. We take full responsibility and accept we have to pay the fine, this really is just a cautionary tale to any future tourists to Conway, as we really did get our fingers burnt with this mistake and it put a bit of a taint on our visit to Conway.

“Excellent short break walking stay”
Reviewed 6 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Lovely and clean and full of everything you need for a self contained chalet. Site was lovely with nice views and walks around the holiday park. We wanted a place close to Snowdon as we wanted to climb it and this was well positioned for our needs. It was also easy for stocking up at the supermarkets of which there were 3 to choose from. We will definitely tell family and friends about this wonderful place to have a relaxing or full on break.

“Autumn holiday”

Excellent chalet both very clean and well appointed as is the chalet site. We found it ideal for touring Snowdonia, local beaches and the shops in Caernarfon.

“Lovely chalet!”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed in this chalet as it was close to everywhere that we wanted to visit. So glad we chose this as the chalet was clean and just what we wanted for the few days that we were there. The extra information available was really helpful so we knew where the closest supermarkets were. The park itself was also clean and the staff were friendly.

“Fantastic short break in a lovely chalet”

We have just returned from our lovely weekend at this chalet. I can highly recommend it, it has all you need for a lovely weekend away or longer holiday. It is very well equipped and clean, the holiday park itself is a very nice and relaxing place. Great base to explore snowdonia national park. There is a lot of information about local attractions and things to do, it was lovely to come back to the chalet in the evening and have a glass of wine on the terrace after trekking to the summit of Snowdon. We will be booking again. Thank you Diana for having us.
