Fantastic as a previous reviewer stated never judge a book by it cover. Very welcoming food was absolutely brilliant best that I had for long time. Welcome and the dogs with open arms and even gave them a gammon titbit ! Would highly recommend

A genuine and warm welcome, very good home cooked food, a good range of well kept beers and excellent service - we felt they really wanted us to be there and enjoy our evening, were brought beer tasters to try (the team has excellent knowledge of the beers and ciders) and checked up on as if we were good friends. The locals in the bar seemed happy we were there, and the atmosphere was just lovely - we'll be back whenever we're near.

Tonight we’ve been to the Druid Inn for my birthday treat and i’d go back in a heartbeat.
If there’s only one thing missing .... it would be me living closer.
This is a pub/ restaurant not to be missed
which also catered for our 1 year old pup - water, biscuit treats etc.

The locals were all so friendly - all of which acknowledged us, made us feel welcome, had general chat and our pup had a proper fuss off all.

For starters i had the kings prawn in garlic and chilli - they were the tastiest and meatiest prawns i’ve had in some time, my partner had the garlic mushrooms which were creamy and again so tasty.
For mains- The steak and homemade onion rings my partner had was cooked to perfection, tempura battered onion rings were so delicious.
I had the lamb balti off the specials menu and wow.. it didn’t disappoint, the lamb was soft/tender and melted in the mouth... the chips were very much homemade and really tasty. The guy that served us our meals was really attentive and such a happy person... made a great first impression.

If you enjoy a good cider or ale then this is the place to be.. don’t even get me started on the gins
From Rhubarb cider to toffee apple plus your more traditional apple ciders then the variants of ale to chose from. The cider was unreal... then i had a gin... or two lol.
The bartender serving us went out of his way to allow us to taste our choices before serving the full drink (cider and ale).. served us from our table (we didn’t even need to move all night apart from a trip to the loo), he has such an amazing knowledge of the gins available and the stories behind each and every one of them... a huge hi-five again i so wish i lived closer as this would be a local i would want to be a local of for sure. (The owner should be so pleased with the staff here at the Druid Inn - they made what could have been a normal pub meal and an hour out a completely different experience... it’s thanks to you all that we had such a good evening).
If you’re looking for a delicious meal, an array of ciders, ales and gins.. along with a warm welcome and great atmosphere then you won’t want to pass by The Druid Inn... make sure you pay it a visit if in the area... i know we’ll be back should we be in the area... or even close to, it was that special.

You’ve heard the saying, Never judge a book by its cover. Well this is a perfect example. I stopped, as they had a food board outside. Well I didn’t expect the quality of the food.
I must also say, the two young men, who eat on, and serve behind the bar, are without doubt, the most welcoming, and enthusiastic I’ve yet to meet.
Don’t drive past, give it a go.

We were staying in Aberystwyth with friends who had two dogs so we had to find dog friendly pubs. The food at the Druid was amazing, some of the best meals we have eaten, well presented, good quality and the portion size, you don't leave here hungry. The menu is a reasonable size with something to suit all tastes. The first night was so good we came back the night after.

The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Customers with dogs eat in the bar area which is not a problem. There is also a water bowl and treats for the dogs. We would certainly recommend the Druids, there is also a great atmosphere.
