Intricate detailing hard to imagine that skills such as this existed nearly extinct now replaced by speed and simplicity

The cathedral is a beautiful building. The areas of interest are well pointed out with plaques to explain them. King John's tomb a focal point. When you have seen all there is to see there is a cafe to enjoy.

One aster weekend took a drive to Worcester. Had a stroll around the town and along the riverside was bitter cold but well worth it. Swans out on the river bank walked up to the cathedral and took a leisurely walk inside taking in all the beautiful stained glass windows and tomb of king John. Beautiful place to look around and take in all its history. Didnt climb the tower this time as incapacitated with broken arm. But this is a must to do as the views from the top are spectacular. It's a peaceful moment walking around. No choir service was in this time pity as it adds to the visit to sit and listen to the beautiful sound that resonates throughout the cathedral.
What an enjoyable day
There is a little cafe within the cathedral where u can have a brunch staff are pleasant, accommodating, area is small kept very clean and tidy. Serve soups jacket potatoes sandwiches and a small array if cakes and beverages. Prices are reasonable also.
