Pleasant country pub on the Malvern to Ledbury road with parking. Good pub atmosphere with very friendly staff. Better than average menu and the food is well cooked and presented. Enjoyable experience.

We came for a midweek lunch and wondered why a place with such rave reviews had such an empty car park. Well admittedly we are out-of-towners and it was a cold Wednesday in March. But still. The interior reminded me of a village hall or working men's club. The ladies toilets were freezing. I don't know where to begin really, but this pub needs a makeover. It looks unclean, tired and like it isn't being invested in. Just a bit sad. The fires need stoking, the walls painting, carpets replacing and the cold uninviting tables and chairs replacing with something more upbeat. The whole place looks untouched since the late 1970s. However, in its favour was the food itself. And on this they did a good job. The steak was tasty, perfectly cooked and with a hearty peppercorn sauce. My husband loved his seafood curry which was creamy, fresh and subtle. But again the presentation was basic. With a bit more styling this could be the kind of pub that would be full, every hour of ever day of the whole year. Maybe that's not what they want, but it seemed a shame. We just ate, paid up and left. It isn't just a matter of taste, where ours might not gel with a local rural pub, but it was tired out and uninviting. The interior just isn't doing the food justice.

Booked here for Mothers Day with party of nine. At most pubs this can be a bit of a gamble and often a disaster. Not at the Wellington!
We received a warm welcome and were seated straight away with a drink to follow. The menu choice was superb. Food was well presented and served promptly by cheerful waitresses. Everyone enjoyed their chosen meal and we had a truly memorable family lunch. Thanks to everyone at The Wellington for such a great dining experience!

This Inn used to have good food and we went a lot. Now portions very small over priced, and do you do not get what it says on menu, several items just not there. Disappointing as went for my birthday. Not very friendly now, different chef, and it shows. We were told this before we went it had changed, but did not believe it could change so much!! Shall not be going again, and others I know feel the same, sad, but true.

We’ve been here a few times. The atmosphere is always inviting and pleasant. The food is excellent. The steak is cooked to perfection. I had tempura prawns as a starter which were delicious. My husband had the goats cheese coated in crushed hazelnuts which he said could not be faulted. There is always an excellent desert menu full of very tempting things. According to my husband the sticky toffee pudding is perfection
