“Great café and farm shop with local produce”

It has been an excellent farm shop for a number of years, particularly for its meat, and the family that run the farm and shop put their heart and soul into it. Having a new premises with a café has transformed it; it's a lovely place for lunch or just a cup of tea and cake.

A beautiful rural location with a great restaurant and an outside canopy looking down on orchards and fields one with horses. The children will love it.
An excellent steak based lunch. Friendly service.
The farm shop has fresh vegetables in profusion, plants for the garden and a very reasonably priced meat area. Everything is locally based and much is from their own farm.
You could not wish for more or better.

Lovely afternoon sat outside under the canopy enjoying drinks while the sun belted down. The staff were lovely and made you feel welcome, lovely food, we enjoyed their chips which were amazing, they could not have done anything better! Great how everything is locally sourced most from themselves! Well done!

Hello

Thank you so very much for your 5 star review and lovely complimentary feedback - we are very appreciative of the time you have taken to review our Farm House Kitchen. Yes we are very much a working farm, producing our own beef and lamb that is sold through the farm shop and Farm House Kitchen, and are very ethical about supporting local family businesses. The canopy is new this year and now enabling customers to sit outside in the shade whilst still enjoying the beautiful views across the farm and open countryside.
Once again thank you very much for your support, we look forward to welcoming you again
Kind regards
Sara

Afternoon out at The Valley (Evesham Country Park) and feeling hungry. There's the garden centre’s Apple Barn with a good choice of food but nothing that says “Eat Me” same at the Crafty Cuppa and Coffee#1. We decide to go on an adventure.

Sat Nav on and search for Farm Shop with Café/Restaurant. Result Ellenden Farm Shop 2.5 miles away and they have a website and café with a good-looking menu. We were there in 8 minutes.

Nice place with a lovely Farm Shop section, that’ll have to wait until we have eaten. I had their roast beef baguette with horseradish and salad, Jean had roast ham (lots), eggs and sweet potato fries, around £17 for these two. I went on to have tea (none dribble teapot with two tea bags) plus Jean had coffee. We shared an elderflower drizzle cake which was amazing.

The chef wasn’t there (on holiday) but all the staff were very efficient and friendly. The portions were generous and tasted great.

Now for the farm shop. I was told by the lady owner Sara that it was all their own beef, chicken and lamb, the pork was sourced locally too. I also noticed that their apple juice was also their own. It’s one seriously good shop.

I bought a few things such as the first asparagus (under glass), a pork pie (it took me back to Yorkshire) and some ribeye steak (£24.95 kilo) which we ate last night. The pie’s taste transported me back to Yorkshire the steak’s tenderness and flavour to, well, Heaven.

We’ll be back! If you are in the area, then give them a try you won’t be disappointed.

Dear Barry

Thank you so very much for your very comprehensive and complimentary feedback about on our Farm House Kitchen and Farm Shop! We are very appreciative of your review and the time you have taken to write such detailed feedback!

We do pride ourselves in the fact the roots of our business are our working farm, run by my husband and father in law; where we raise beef and sheep; here at Ellenden we grow Asparagus, Apples, Plums and Pears. We are also very much supportive of small local family businesses - in fact The Outdoor Pig Company are the produces of the pork pie you purchased, and located only 5 miles away from our shop.

The Farm House Kitchen, the newest element of our business is merely an extension of the farm shop business, serving the same local, quality ingredients we sell through the farm shop. The Roast beef in the baguette is our own beef and the Roast ham is free range and supplied by the same family business that produce the pork pie!

Once again thank you for your review and feedback Barry, I will pass onto all our staff, and it does make all the hard work very worthwhile.

Kind regards
Sara
