The rooms are great, the breakfast is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved my stay there. The location is perhaps the best aspect of your stay here case it just opposite to the magnificent Windsor Castle, right next to amazing shopping Malls with brand names like marks and spencer , Hobbs, next, H&M and So many more can't even name them all. The shops close at 6:00 pm in the evening so make you shopping plans accordingly.

Although this is an older hotel it has been kept up well and has surprisingly large rooms and the location across from the castle couldn't be better. We were fortunate to get a room in the front of the hotel with a view of the castle. Our room was large with a very nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Buffet breakfast was typical English breakfast- quite filling. The hotel has expanded by absorbing next door properties but this has resulted in an unusual layout with stairways up and down even after you get off the elevator. I've heard that rooms in the back are not as nice.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the front of the hotel - better views and nicer rooms.

Thank you for posting a review and I was pleased you had an enjoyable stay. The hotel has 98 bedrooms. 79 in the main hotel and 19 in Goswell House located at the rear of the hotel with its own separate entrance. Many of the bedrooms require stair access. The front facing 28 bedrooms have views of the castle. The remaining 70 bedrooms have limited or no view. If a castle view room is required please book this specific room type at the reservation stage to ensure availability. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms do vary in shape and size as the hotel is a listed building.

Nice hotel and well located opposite the castle. Easy walking distance to Windsor in all its glory. The bar seemed expensive but friendly and welcoming. Some of the rooms are in a town house that is a few minutes walk around the corner. They are bigger rooms and quieter than the main hotel. However they were a little cold and the electric heater is too noisy to sleep with.

The breakfast was ok with quality fruit and juices I didn't get the cooked food which was served in a buffet style. I would use this hotel again but parking is an issue and about 5-10 min walk away.

Thank you for posting a review and I was pleased that you had an enjoyable stay. The hotel does not have a car park. There is a loading bay at the front of the hotel that I would recommend anyone driving to use to drop off and pick up their luggage. The reception team do have maps and directions to local car parks that can be given to guests to assist.

Stayed 1 night for a works Conference.

Room No 109 ... very nice room, beds comfy (for the little time I spent in it)

Food on the Sunday for dinner - Lamb Rump, it's a must

Breakfast very old fashioned ... they bring tea and toast to your table

Only let down was the SPA, went to ask questions about using it, was told that they were fully booked and closed on Mondays, this was after the staff came in from smoking outside

Overall had a good stay,

Thank you for posting a review and I was pleased that you enjoyed your stay. The spa is open Tuesday to Sunday. Saturday and Sunday do tend to be fully booked and therefore anyone requiring use of the spa or to book treatments I would advise to pre-book prior to arrival.

The Hotel presents well but due to its age and "quaintness" there are lots of winding corridors & steps (both up and down) to be able to find your room (once I got lost and ended up on the fire escape!!). I was there during a hot spell and there is no air-conditioning and no fridge in the room. Bed was comfy. Excellent location opposite the Castle and 2 mins walk to main shopping areas. Perfect location for watching the Changing of the Guard at the Castle.

Thank you for posting a review and I was pleased that you had an enjoyable stay. 2/3rd of the hotel bedrooms have air-conditioning. If this is a requirement please let us know prior to arrival and subject to availability a room with air-conditioning will be allocated. Being a listed building does mean that there are many rooms that require stair access and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms will vary in shape and size.
