Throughout its history, the Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt. Today The Queen spends most of her private weekends at the Castle, which is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions. We visited with my partners sister who was over from Oz and we had a really enjoyable day. It was very informative and very pretty! We were also lucky enough to come out of the castle just at the time for the changing of the guard! We would definitely visit again, a fabulous day out!

An amazing place to visit . Very factual. Beautiful but small gardens that uou can look in,but not enter. House was fabulous and very interesting history.
Cathedral was super, especially after the royal wedding. Very interesting to see the resting place of henry 8th, queen mum and princess Margaret.
Windsor castle and cathedral felt very warm and intimate.
The only fault were the toilets. Smelly and very unclean. Disappointed
Windsor itself was a beautiful town. Fabulous shops and very pretty.
A super day out. Fully recommend.

Thank helarc

We watched the Royal Wedding a few weeks prior and now to walk the very grounds and stand in the same church was fun. The access you are allowed is amazing and not seen in the states. Make sure you follow the rules and take pictures were you are allowed they will take your pictures from you, we had more fun watching them tell people to delete their picture from inside were they weren’t allowed to even have cameras out.

British history and its castles have always caught the imagination and fascination of public at large. When you talk if Castles, Windsor Castle, tops the list. Windsor has been the family home to British monarchs for over 1,000 years.
The formidable Castle occupies a sprawling area of about (5hectares/13 acres)being the largest and oldest occupied Castle in the world. Her Majesty The Queen chooses to spend most of her private weekends here. Recently it was a witness to the spectacular wedding of now,”The Duke of Sussex, the Duchess of Sussex.”A tip, for visiting Windsor Castle, do book your tickets in advance and avoid the queues.

The grand apartments are adorned with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection, such as paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens and Canaletto.
Take in the solemn splendour of St George's Chapel is an epitome of Gothic architecture in England.
The Chapel was also a witness to the wedding, that the world watched, of Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle. It is also the burial place of 10 monarchs including Henry VIII and Charles I.
Queen Mary's Dolls’ House, is absolutely awesome and the largest, most beautiful and most famous dolls’ house in the world.
The Semi-State Rooms, the majestic private apartments are open to visitors from October to March each year. The Queen hosts her guests in these splendid rooms.Be prepared to be awed
whilst watching the Changing of the Guard!  A colourful spectacle of British Pageantry.
Windsor castle and it’s beautiful garden is a breathtaking kaleidoscope of British royalty.
