Enchanting Gothic Hotel, situated next to the River Thames. Beautiful building and grounds, providing the perfect location for a British summer weekend retreat.

Dinner and Breakfast both exceeded expectations, although service can be inconsistent throughout the hotel, with the majority of staff very helpful, let down by a few which were anything but.

Nevertheless, definitely look forward to returning soon and hope these issues will have been resolved.

Room Tip: Director's suites are single character rooms and not particularly large. Opt for Producer's suites if you require space

My daughter held her wedding here last
Saturday. Wedding planner Francesca was amazing and totally professional. Helped us all the way so thank you. The food was plentiful and was cooked to perfection. The grounds were well kept and location on the river Thames was awesome. We had arrival drinks on the lawn we were so lucky with the weather. It would be lovely to either pop in for lunch or have a drink and watch the world go by. Well worth a visit

Had a great weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday, took the dog who was made to feel most welcome. Fab breakfast in the Pantry, hired a boat, drank pimms on the deckchairs, swam in the indoor pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. Took advantage of Waterside Inn up the road, fabulous. We will return.

Can't fault the setting of this hotel absolutely beautiful extensive grounds along the river. Our stay coincided with the hottest weekend of the year so far. Lovely chilling out and watching the boats sale up and down the river. The hotel has a couple of boats for hire but to avoid disappointment book in advance of your stay.
We stayed in the West Wing. On entering the block we were hit by a musty smell which was also the case with our room. The room wasn't big but it was adequate. The bath was on the small side and the shower was fixed above the bath. At 5' 6" there was adequate room for me but my partner at 6' 2" had difficulty having to bend considerably at the knees. The food was good but if you want room service for breakfast only continental breakfast is available. It was also disappointing that they failed to service our room.
Can't fault the setting but the rest was disappointing.

Amazing staff and a wonderful location. The gentleman's afternoon tea was exceptional. A savoury version which was beautifully presented and delicious. The whole experience was excellent. We were not able to stay overnight as our son was taken ill at home but the staff were so understanding and generous in reimbursing us.

Room Tip: Not many rooms in the Main House but the two annexes are well placed for river views
