We had been so excited about our visit to the Kitty cafe in Leeds and we were not disappointed!
We had booked online and on arrival were met by friendly staff. We paid £6 each entrance which we were happy to pay as it all goes to the kitties. People who are whinging about paying £6 are clearly missing the point and would perhaps be better suited to visiting Starbucks.
We were shown to our seats and immediately met Fudge, a tabby and white kitten. The staff were on hand to answer any questions and were very friendly and knowlegable. Really enjoyed the food. We had a panini and a sandwich and it was spot on...although we weren't there for the food it was yummy!
We were told in total they had 21 cats in the cafe. All looking very healthy and all very relaxed in the environment. You are free to roam around the cafe and there are toys dotted around. We interacted with quite a few but were also happy to sit and observe.
Would highly recommend to cat lovers. The only criticism i would have is that your hour goes very fast so even an hour and 15 would be great just to give you that extra few minutes.

Thank Rachel A

Visited on Good Friday and was immediately shocked at the number of people in the place and the number of young children RUNNING around. No consideration for the cats and no rules adhered to. I have visited the cat cafe in Manchester which is much more relaxed and staff are on watch constantly to make sure cats are ok. Today was horrendous, children running, poking cats with toys under tables and stroking them when they were sleeping! Also the idea of serving food is ridiculous! These are stray and rescue cats who will have at times been starving and therefore their natural instinct is to grab whatever food they can. Staff yelling at the cats when they jumped up at your table is not appropriate or kind! Please read these reviews and revisit your product and look at making changes immediately.

I was looking forward to this, something new! And we love cats. Arrived got charged £6 per person which is not mentioned online! also filled in a box online that it was a special birthday... no mention by staff, who clearly don't like their jobs, hardly any cats about and given 15 minutes notice to leave because our hour was up.

A few folk on here haven’t had great experiences but I think it’s worth putting a few things in context.
This place is all about the cats - food should be second really. I saw this about creating a nice place for unwanted cats to fussed on and made to feel special.
We had an hour here and a coffee each, we had quite a few interactions with the cats but people should remember some of the cats might be very nervous and therefore don’t go expecting they’ll be best pals with you as soon as you rock up.
We took some new toys for them and personally I was glad to contribute to a good cause as this raises awareness of abandoned cats.
The staff was mainly young girls and perhaps they are still settling in to the Leeds site as it’s not as established as the Nottingham one but they were very friendly and approachable

5 of us booked a table for 2.30pm. Got through reception where you pay £6 each to enter and sign up to the rules. Didn't sit down until 2.45 but no worries as we just wandered around soaking up the atmosphere. Really colourful and comfy armchairs and sofas. The staff were lovely and we were given a few minutes to decide what we wanted. We went for the £9.95 meal deal - a main, a cake and a drink. All were very nice and arrived quickly.
That is probably the only downside here - the hour slot, as most say, is not enough - I would say 90 minutes should be allocated.
