One bedroom character property offering affordable, comfortable accomodation in the heart of Bronte country. Ideal for a couple or small family.
Saltaire Cottages is only half a mile from the famous village of Haworth with the picturesque Main Street and other tourist attractions such as Bronte Parsonage Museum and the Steam railway.
Facilities include: Oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, highchair, iron, washing machine, clothes dryer, central heating, TV and CD player.
I was unfortunate enough to have to stay in this property, suffice to say it was cleaner when I left.
The floor boards in the lounge were loose and unsafe, the electrical wires around the kitchen door were covered with gaffer tape, the bathroom had cobwebs all over the stone, the doors didn’t fit or close properly, the microwave and fridge were filthy, the iron and ironing board were worse than useless, the sofa leg fell off when I sat on it, (I’m not that heavy) the curtains were not hung straight and water poured in though the windows when it rained……. This property should not be on Airbnb DO NOT STAY HERE, you have been warned.

Disappointed 😞
Firstly rang owner for location as struggled to find premise. Eventually found it with a sign hidden through the bushes that was about 8"x4" and still waiting for them to reply ,even though I left a message. On entering first impression was ok,but that didn't last. This being a dog friendly accommodation we didn't really thing the Lilly's in the kitchen a good idea as poisonous to dogs. Moved these to a room in the kitchen that was fully of junk Coffee maker with green water in it,so that couldn't be used. Cobwebs in lounge and bedroom. Bed that creaked every move you made. Cracked ceramic floor tiles in bathroom cover with a mat, could have easily cut someone's foot when getting out off shower. TV didn't work and instructions left as it was streaming from roku but couldn't get it to work. Strong smelling air fresheners that was trying to mask smells from other animal visits (see photos)

Small and cosy.
Stayed for a week at the end of June with my partner. It is a lovely little cottage with a small enclosed garden to the front. The kitchen is nice and spacious as is the bedroom. The shower is very good and powerful. Rebecca is a very good host, who gives you space and says hello when passing. There are cottages to the upper floors and sometimes you can hear the occupants but this didn't bother us.
If you want to get around the area by bus, there is a bus stop 2 minutes away by the Cross Roads Pub heading into Keighley and another heading into Haworth outside the Burnt Bear Bar. You can buy a Kcard Extra Weekly Ticket for £24 whch takes you as far as Skipton and Hebdon Bridge and is well worth the cost. You can buy these from the bus driver. We certainly got our moneys worth out of it.
Will definately be returning to this lovely cottage again in the future. Many thanks to Rebecca for her hospitality.

Ideal position for Haworth and Keighley, but looking tired.
Cottage is at Crossroads, equidistant from Haworth and Keighley, and on the bus routes to both. Cottage was uninviting from the frontage and although the front door closes it does not feel secure. We used it as a base for family history research and although the cottage is clean the floors are uneven (especially the bedroom) and the mattress sinks in the middle. There are chips and cracks in the floors and worktops, but it depends on what you need to relax in the evening. Radiators were boiling, so you will not go cold! Shower's hot but water drains away slowly in the shower and sink basins. All the amenities you need, but clock and tv remote needed new batteries. Car parking is on the lane beside the cottage, as close to the dry stone wall as you can and put your wing mirror in as drivers use Bingley Road (really a lane) as a cut-through - at high speeds!

Better than expected
We were delighted to find a spotless cottages with modern décor. I was worried about it being pet friendly as I have allergies but it was so clean it wasn't an issue. There is a great shower and good heating. Rebecca the host couldn't have been amore accommodating.

1st holiday with the dog
We stayed for 2nights and the cottage has everything you need and was more spacious than it looked in the pictures. Good location with shops, a park and a bridleway within walking distance, so great for dog walking. Rebecca was so helpful & understanding when we had a mishap, and we can't thank her enough. She gave us lots of local info of things to do in the area, best places to park etc. Lovely touch to have fresh flowers and a bottle of wine to welcome us.
