The cinema itself, is ok and the main one we use. I would say its convenient as you get lots of free parking in Star city and they have lots of late showings for movies. Each time we have been to watch a movie for some weird reason the rooms are always cold compared to other cinemas, I have been to. During our last visit in the daytime we went to watch Rampage, bought popcorn nachos etc and they had a promotion on. Straight after the movie we went for some food as theres decent fast food and restaurants around star city.

We went at 9.30am in easter holidays. 2adults and 3 children. Hardly any staff on the tills so took a while to get served for our tickets and snacks. Once served, we were at the desk for a while, as when they get your popcorn, drinks etc the staff have to go over to the other side to get things. Not sure why they don't just open the tills that are by the items, saves time for everyone and staff having to walk up and down to the other end. Got a family ticket for 4 us and then a separate child ticket as family ticket is cheaper per person, but its only for 4. Actual screen where we watched the film was quite empty, clean. Toilets were clean also. Most of the parking was not accessible, the main parking. It was blocked off, diggers there etc.

As expected Bank Holiday Monday is very busy. It doesn’t seem like the management team expected this and failed to provide extra staffing. As a result it was a 25 minute wait to be served and when we arrived one of the soft drinks (very popular with children ) was out of stock. This wasn’t apparent when taking a customers money though. No napkins were handled out (necessary when purchasing some food items such as hot dogs) and a member of staff offered some blue roll!!
The ladies toilets had water all over the sinks and floor. Better stock control and staffing ratio for peak times appears to be needed.
Staff however seemed unfazed by this and the numerous complaints we witnessed and remained courteous and as helpful as they could be.

Having been to this cinema before and realising it was a bit pricey (£10 a ticket), we went on super-saver Monday for £3.99 per ticket which is really good compared to the average cinema ticket price these days.
What we didn't anticipate was the busy chaos of the cinema. Queues were especially long; we were queuing for over 20 minutes just for tickets despite a handful of staff on tills.
The cinema was dirty, seats unclean with crumbs and food stains.

Overall, I'd say the super-saver Mondays are good value for money if you just want a laid back evening watching a film you like the look of. But get there early to be mindful of the queues, or book online if you want to avoid them!

They seem to increase their prices every so often. A bit of a rob. The food is also pricey. Plus side is the free parking and large screens and the convenience of the cinema being located close to where I live hence why I am a regular here. Or else i would resort to another cinema.
