I’ve been meaning to write this review for ages. I’m prompted to do so by our upcoming wedding anniversary. We’ve booked a table at the blue piano to celebrate as we held our wedding reception here. In short, from planning to picking drinks and food to the day itself, everything was easy and straightforward. This is all down to siew kuan and her amazing staff. The venue looked beautiful upon our arrival. The reception drinks were great and plentiful. The food was absolutely amazing. All of our guests commented on what a wonderful evening they’d had. Our families stayed over in the rooms and everything was spot on, including the breakfast the next day. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the blue piano for a special occasion. The outside space is beautiful and canopies can but put up if it rains. We decorated the outside with candles and bunting. We brought our own cakes (one sweet and one made of cheese!) and plates were provided by siew kuan. She made sure everything ran smoothly and that all guests were happy. Couldn’t fault anything. Can’t wait for our anniversary trip.

We were down to Edgbaston for the Thai Festival and booked into the Blue Piano for one night and evening meal.
We arrived at 8am in morning to claim our pre- booked car parking slot.
We asked if we could have breakfast (which we were willing to pay for), and were told no, sorry!
The reception lady kindly booked a taxi to take us to the Festival.
We returned from the festival and checked in to room 3 which was a lovely room, clean and with great facilities.
When confirming our evening meal we were told 17:30 or 21:30 only because they were expecting two party bookings. - Not Ok!
Evening meal was satisfactory but we felt a little hurried because they required the table. - Not Ok!
We were asked what time we would be down for breakfast in the morning; "8am please, we have a way to go".
Came down at 07:45 to find no breakfast, no staff, cold kitchen!
Could not even check out! Waited until 08:45 and decided to leave, meeting bleary eyed lady just arriving.
Not stay again!

Room Tip: Go up for less noise. Room 3 is excellent.

This place was recommended to me. We arrived around 8pm on Thursday night. Didn’t have a booking. Lady that welcomed us managed to get us a table. Very pleasant interior. We’ve ordered our drinks and food. Waiting time wasn’t too bad. My starter was good but my main was absolutely amazing (lamb). I will definitely eat there again!
