Visited Jongleurs for the first time on Broad Street, overall enjoyed the acts but a strange venue to host a comedy night in. Chairs were squashed in tightly together with nowhere to put drinks, not that you'd want to buy many at the extortionate prices -1 small bottle of Stella and 1 small magners came to £9.60!! There was a dj annoyingly counting down to start of the evening and there was then a compere and 2 comedians. Been to the Glee Club a few times and you always get 3 comedians so felt a bit short changed. The standard of comedy was a bit hit and miss, some really good laughs along with a few old hat jokes about women, some poor taste near the knuckle jokes about sex but on the whole very entertaining. Comedy night was all done and dusted by 9.30pm though which seems very early for a Saturday night out. The club was trying to entice you to go to a different room with half price drinks but didn't see many people taking up the offer. Think we'll stick to the Glee in future as far better organised and better atmosphere for a comedy night

We could not find the entrance as you have to push your way past hen nights and stag nights to get in. The drinks were like London prices plus . They are in plastic containers ,!I do not want a gin and tonic in a plastic glass . Bar people very sullen and unhelpful do they want to work there I ask myself.
We could not get any food thank God I say as it seemed to be only hot dogs and fried chicken.,
we have been to glee club a couple of times a much better venue .
Anyway we did not stay to see the show as we thought at £15 for 2 drinks we were going to be bankrupt by the end of the night in a crap venue full of drunk men and women .
Never go

Very disappointed we have been many times to the old venue and had an amazing night however this was not the case this time. No food available school.assembly set up with uncomfortable chairs very squashed. Drinks in plastic cups really horrible experience good comedians shame it was spoilt by venue.

Comedian gave us a few laughs but food not worth the money night club venue didn't work. Lines of chairs for seats no tables but we found a few bar stools by the bar to sit on small ledge for drinks made the night better than it would have been. comedian made fun of the punters most jokes about race but didn't bother us friendly crowd cocktail jugs better value than the beers got us in the right mood would
go to comedy club again but not at this venue

Booked a comedy night for a change, never been before. Arrived to find it in a sleazy nightclub, with chairs set up like school assembly, my wife just wanted yo leave. When we booked it said last entry was 7 and no entry afterwards, so we arrived at 7 to be the only ones there and then had to wait until the show started an hour later. Meanwhile the dj was telling everybody to get a drink from the bar - bit annoying really, as everyone else seem to arrive 10 minutes before it started. We were supposed to be seated in a booth where 6 people were supposed to sit, it only seated 4 and were not going to squeeze on a booth with people we dont know - 2 of them looked like drug dealers. The barmaid even looked drugged up in her velour tracksuit

Comedy was good but never again.
