Like most military museums this one has plenty of hidden gems, but needs support or we risk losing it.

Entry rate is very reasonable (I think it was £4 for an annual pass), and I also put a donation in the fun drum donation box upstairs!

The only thing I wanted to see was a little bit of history or context about the building it was in (I understand the town museum was housed here until recently which may explain the lack of info) but otherwise a very interesting little museum in a beautiful old building with a nice outdoor garden area.

Definitely give it a visit, and show your support!

The building has a ground floor which Warwickshire County Education reserves for children - which is a pity. Upstairs we meet the history of Warwickshire fighting men (few women)over 300 years. Presentation is very good with audio and visual displays but what makes it special is the enthusiasm ond knowledge of the volunteers. Free entry but well worth donating to.

This is an interesting museum about the history of the regiment. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area.

We had a weekend in Warwick, and after a family reunion on the Saturday lunch/afternoon walked down to this museum before going back to the hotel. Sadly we arrived with only half an hour before closing, but must commend the museum assistant David Baynham for the great amount of attention he paid us and research he did in that short space of time regarding a family member who served in the Warwickshire Regiment. He really knew his stuff, and it was a pleasure listening to him. When we return to Warwick, which we will, we will be sure to allow plenty of time to do the museum justice, and enjoy the lovely grounds, which were beautiful and peaceful. The length of your visit would depend on your level of interest in the military side of things, but we could have spent over 2 hours ....
