What a nice little gem of a place this is. Be prepared though, it is rather hot in there and DSLR camera lenses can mist up as did mine.
There is a little more than just butterflies as well in three separate areas, but I won't ruin it for you.
My 7 year old daughter, who adores Butterflies, was so happy as she had 13, THIRTEEN, butterflies land on her. So many, that she passed them onto other children and people who wanted a closer look.
I think it is a reasonably priced place considering how well thought out it is and how rewarding the experience of being amongst all those butterflies it.
**Parking** There is a large car park opposite the Butterfly farm which is pay and display. I paid £6.00 (using a debit card, but it does accept cash too) which lasted me all day and then some into the evening up until 19:30pm. There is no change in price on any particular day. It is always the same
As with these kind of attractions there is a shop filled with toys, books and some very unique gifts too, some of which were impressively done. Yes, That's my mother's birthday sorted!
This is a stone throw away from the town centre and right next to the canal, which makes for a nice walk.
Every Sunday there is a large market on too, with some really nice stalls.
There was an outdoors food van selling various bits from tea and coffee, to snacks. There were also some picnic benches outside too, so come prepared with your own picnic if you prefer.
