“A haven on the Avon”
Reviewed 15 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We had a wonderful time. David was very friendly and helpful. The lodge was well equipped and homely, which was much appreciated. The views were lovely and one morning we were treated to a beautiful sunrise with low lying mist giving excellent photographic opportunities. The river taxi was an added bonus. Thank you David, our short break was magical.

“Our return visit even better than the first”
Reviewed 27 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay here with friends. The lodge has everything you could possibly need and more. It is extremely comfortable with every modern convenience. Dave met us on arrival & is very friendly & helpful. The river boat is very handy for getting into Stratford & still only £2. We were lucky to have nice weather which added to the ambience of sitting in the peace & quiet on the balcony overlooking the river watching the world go by.

“Wonderful”
Reviewed 11 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A lovely lodge, very tidy and well equipped, comfortable beds, and wonderful view from the balcony over looking the river Avon, river taxi into Stratford only £2.00. All in all we had a great time and a good relaxing rest.
Highly recommended by myself and my wife and two friends who were with us.

“Little slice of paradise”

This lodge is beautiful and the location could not be better. On a lovely holiday park right beside the river, so peaceful and views/surroundings were wonderful. Would definitely recommend the river taxi in stratford, it can get busy but we didn't wait too long. The lodge itself is really tastefully decorated with all the amenities you need. Jacuzzi bath was a winner with all the family, as was the "squirty" shower as my children called it! Stratford is great too with plenty nearby, would definitely recommend Warwick Castle especially if travelling with children. David and his wife Hazel are lovely and met and showed us round on arrival as well as giving us tips on the location. Couldn't get the tv in the bath to work which was only a shame because my little boy had his heart set on watching the olympics in the bath haha! Also the bed and pillows were really comfy which gets a big thumbs up from me! We were blessed with amazing weather which certainly topped it off but we had a wonderful week in a wonderful little treasure.

“Fabulous River meets lodge”

The owner David and his wife personally met us and showed us around. They explained how to work the many gadgets in the lodge. This lodge is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean.
Beautiful lounge/ dining area/ kitchen with floor to ceiling windows south facing leading on to a large furnished deck overlooking the river Avon. Two lovely bedrooms and two bathrooms. One with a jacuzzi bath and one with a fantastic power shower.
It was wonderful sitting on the deck watching the swans, geese and ducks go by. River taxis take you into town and are only a walk across the small bridge beside the property. It's lovely sailing into Stratford Upon Avon's marina . The walk in is pleasant too. A brand new clubhouse is also just a short stroll across the bridge and has entertainment for adults and children. We ate there one evening and thought the food was good and reasonable. Lovely sitting on the terrace ocerlooking the river.
This lodge greatly exceeded our expectations and we would love to go back. It was better than a 5 star hotel.stratford Upon Avon is wonderful as are the Cotswolds which you can visit easily from here.
