Lovely site with its own club house and restaurant with balcony overlooking the river with riverboat taxi into Stratford or just a steady half hour amble tried Sunday lunch not the cheapest but it was nice it’s a
short walk into the village with a spar a deli and tapas bar a Chinese an Indian and a pub that serves food

We had been to this site before, for the odd weekend here and there. We were very impressed with the site we now have a seasonal pitch. The site is lovely, clean and tidy. All the staff who work here are very pleasant. There is a riverboat taxi, to take you into Stratford, so no need to take your car. They have a lovely riverside bar/restaurant, with very reasonable prices. Live entertainment every Friday and Saturday nights. Live sports shown in the sports bar. Very dog and child friendly. We love it.

Had one whole week at Riverside, pitches are too close together, and pitches are very rough, and long grass.
Each day the shower were never hot. The temperature hardly went to warm and more often than not it was Luke warm, some of the showers needed attention as one of them you had to keep pushing to keep the water coming, also very difficult when washing up.
The WiFi was dreadful, a charge of £3.75 for two hours, and they said you could get 15 mins free, but each time we logged on it told us that we had used our free time. Really for the cost of staying at Riverside, WiFi should be all over the site free as most sites now provide this facility.
The river boat at £2.00 each way is quite a novelty but parking in Stratford is reasonable and plenty of places to park £1.00 an hour which we felt was reasonable considering there are a lot of tourists.
We went to the restaurant on two evenings, nothing spectacular, but be aware they charge a 9.5 DISCRETIONARY service charge which they automatically add on to the bill, but you do have the option of asking for it to be taken off.
If asked if we would stay there again the answer is NO not until the site is brought up to a higher standard.

Site was a great location for Stratford to either walk about 20 mins or take the excellent river taxi service from the site £2 per person. The boat drivers are interesting to chat to. The site itself is large but no shop although there is an excellent Spar 5 mins away with Chinese and Indian Restaurants nearby with take-away facility.
The pitches are grass but the grass is too long and the rules are strict eg. no wind breaks allowed or rotary washing lines. Also our friends in a continental motorhome could not turn their van round so our doors were facing. Long electric leads are a must as the points are far away for some pitches.
The shower/toilet block could do with updating and to shower you need to be constantly pressing the push button.
Also no WiFi without charges.
If you are prepared to put up with the negatives the location is great and as near as you can get to Stratford

We have just returned from a mid week break at Riverside staying in a 2 bed static caravan. The site is immaculately kept and the caravan we stayed in looked nearly new. It was nice to have a few extras such as tea and coffee, bath mat, coasters and table mats. The bed linen was excellent quality. The reason for the stay was so that my dad could take advantage of the free fishing. This was great however I think a little investment is required in installing stepped areas to the riverbank so that more of the river is accessible. The staff were extremely friendly both in reception and also in the bar and restaurant. The drinks and food are a little pricey however we were given a voucher on arrival to use in both the restaurant and bar which made it better value for money. We walked into Stratford and back on two occasions which is a 20 minute walk but a pleasant walk. There is also the River Taxi which runs frequently into Stratford. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely return.
