Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff are attentive, the place is modern and attractive, and the gym is better than your average hotel gym. It actually has a couple of barbells and some decent weights, although it needs a squat rack! Pool & hot tub similarly very nice.

Location: Fantastic! Within walking distance to centre of town and all local attractions.
Hotel: beautifully decorated, nice large lounges to relax and grab a drink in bar. Free tea/coffee on departures available at reception. Public areas immaculate.
Staff: Very friendly and attentive, noticed any staff we came into contact with said hello.
Restaurant: only had breakfast which was delicious and plenty of variety.
Room: Beds very comfortable, pillows were great! Room nice and spacious. Bathroom was a little cramped - but bearable.

All in all a very very good hotel. Will definitely return. Well done to all the staff at Crowne Plaza!

I picture this area as Old time Shakespearean with thatched roofs and everything being old or restored. Well, this crowne plaza was the furthest thing from that. Modern rooms, every conceivable amenity-bathrobes, slippers, chocolates, buffet breakfast that was phenomenal, pool, gym, view of the river Avon, etc. I'd give it a 5 star but there was an error checking us in and the other half of our party was given a room that already had a tenant. After walking in and finding a man in their bed (he was u derstandably terrified) they were rebooked into an unready room. For as nice as the actual hotel is, seemed the workers could use a bit of a training refresher.

The hotel is well situated in the centre of town and has a large car park. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the shops and attractions.
We had a good sized room on the 3rd floor with a huge bed, a desk and excellent wifi. It also had Sky TV which I haven't seen in hotels before. Strangely the toiletries were all single use - usually I use the shower gel then take what is left with me for the gym as I don't like waste but these had tear off tops so a lot will just get thrown away.
Although there were plenty of places nearby we were fed up with the cold and wet so ate in the hotel. The menu was very good with plenty of options and service was quick and efficient. Prices and portion sizes were both good.
There is a gym and pool but frustratingly the gym didn't open until 7.30AM. Personally I prefer 24 hour access so I can get there around 6 and then be ready for breakfast by 8.

We always had an excellent experience in this lovely hotel, but last time it was extra special.
Me, my husband and our 3 years old (very playful) son had a very delicious dinner, our son couldn't settle for the meal, but all the staff were very kind to us, specially a lady called Alice, she was very attentive, and she made us feel both comfortable and welcome, despite the fact that our son was all over the place
Will always look forward to go back
