This place is really good if your going to Newcastle for a day out. It has lots of things to do, buy and see. It is also very educational.

We really enjoyed our visit, a bit of a tardis, better than if looked from the outside, was nearly put off by the £15 / adult price tag. Touring Robot exhibition was a bonus, the interactive nature of the Experiment Zone was really good, with nice staff

We spent 1/2 the day here having arrived late but could have easily spent the whole day. Lots of hands on activities and shows were on. The robotics show was very interesting and the kids (8,11,12 years old) loved it. This is a great museum for the kids to pick up the basics in science, toddlers to play around in the soft play upstairs.

Visited for the first time with my husband, 15 year old nephew and his grandfather as a day out in the school holidays to see the robot exhibition which was so disappointing. Although some good exhibits, they layout is terrible and nothing on Boston Dynamics. The rest of the centre has little to offer adults or teenagers, there are not enough exhibits and seems to be set up for small children. Expensive, poor and left after 2 hours. Do not recommend this as a suitable day out unless you have small children.

The Life Science Centre is a combination of a Science Centre and a world class Research Centre. The Centre itself is very popular. It is always busy. There is an entrance fee. Once inside there is a fascinating selection of experiments it read about and try. Most of the Centre is interactive and keeps children entertained for hours. The cafes are busy but there is good choice. The main exhibition changes once or twice a year.
