A really nice pub serving good ales at a decent price in a nice part of town! Also showing football and with a decent looking food menu

Thank John E

My friends and I were on a pub crawl to celebrate finishing exams. We arrived, order our drinks and sat at the back of the pub. The bar staff were having an awards night at the front. As it got closer to 11pm closing time, the bar staff shouted at us, and told us to shut up and get out, which shocked the group. Moreover, as we were leaving they proceeded to swear at us, were very rude and insulting. When tried attempted to speak to any of them seriously, they ignored us and repeatedly told us to get the f*** off.

As you can imagine all of the group were shocked at this appalling customer service.

Called here for a late lunch. The food was good pub food and value for money.
Good clean pub too.
Would recommend especially for the price.

Nostalgia time re-visiting this pub in memory of my dad. Called in for a light lunch, didn’t have our first choice of drink but the meal was very nice.

Still a good pub with good beers, etc. On my last visit, however, I was disappointed because we decided to go upstairs with our drink, because downstairs had a rather unpleasant dank smell. We were told we couldn't sit upstairs unless we were eating, even though there were only two people up there (and maybe 30 or 40 seats).
