Good location in the centre of Guldford. Be aware that the Bills resturant does not open for breakfast until 0900 at weekends. In bath shower is a challenge without a shower screen or holder. Room was clean but bed soft.

We wanted a central Guildford Hotel when we visited for our Daughters graduation from University of Surrey. We were delighted to be upgraded to the Bridal suite which was spacious and well appointed. The large bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the first floor room was above an alley with a bar and the hotel kitchen opening into it. This meant it was unacceptably noisy late at night and first thing in the morning with shouting and kitchen activity. With no air conditioning we had to leave the windows open in very muggy weather. The hotel is situated on High Street which is quite steep. The road outside the hotel was being dug up when we were there as part of long term works - we were not informed of this before arrival. The works meant we were unable to drop off luggage at the hotel door. There is no hotel car park and the nearest public paying car park is several hundred yards away up a narrow cobbled street.. We arrived late and were unable to get room service - indeed there is no regular restaurant facility in the hotel. Meals are taken in an external cafe that is attached to the hotel. Hotel staffing was minimal but generally fairly friendly.

Room Tip: Bridal Suite very noisy and plumbing is poor.

We stayed in double room, and everything was clean and tidy; but I was expecting more. Their website says that all the double rooms have been newly refurbished, our bathroom was very old and tired.
But some good points - very good location for the town centre, free wifi and a good telly.
It's was a little expensive for what it was, be aware that on-street parking is restricted.

Me and my husband stayed in this gorgeous hotel the night of our wedding.
(Honeymoon suite)
I was so blown away by how gorgeous and rustic it was.
We had a bottle of champagne, strawberries and chocolates on our late arrival.
The bed was super comfy (could of slept for years)
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return again maybe for our anniversary
Bit pricey but worth it
Only down full I could have done with a bit more of a power shower other than that it was lovely

My wife and I spent a night at the Angel Posting House in October 2015. Generally a nice quirky place to stay our suite was very nice and spacious with a nice modern en suite. A downside to our room was being over the main Guildford shopping street. It was incredibly noisy until three in the morning, but sure it will be fine if you request a room further back.
