Four for lunch today. Had the 9 course tasting menu. Excellent advice from the sommelier. Great service, even better food.

Food is modern and interesting without being "too clever". Difficult to single out any course as all were equally good - up there with the */** Michelin restaurants we have visited.

Not much to say except from the minute we arrived to when we finally left we were looked after so well by everyone. Food was really clever and interesting and most importantly delicious.
Please support this restaurant which proves you don't have to go to a London for this type of cooking.
Highly recommended.

Went to Sorrel for Saturday lunch. The dining area is a great balance between formal and relaxed. We had the 5 course tasting menu, which after the 3 'amuse bouche' was a good 6 or 7 course meal. My wife and I thought the food was excellent; and whilst not food critics/experts, we have eaten in quite a few Michelin starred establishments - and the food at Sorrel was as good as we have had. The service was good and not too formal. Fantastic.

First visit to Sorrel and WOW what a delightful journey for the palate. We had been to Drake's Ripley offering quite a few times but this way surpasses anything he has delivered previously. Culinary brilliance unleashed. Every mouthful starting with the innovative canapes to the fun play on a Waldorf Salad dessert was quite simply stylish and all very delicious. We settled on the 5 course discovery menu with the flight of wines to accompany..All this delivered by a lovely, knowlegeable and fun front of house team.
Can't wait to return.

We have been following Steve Drake for the last 20 years and it has been a joy following him on his adventures... There is no need to tell you how brilliant his food it just is The setting and the service rivals the best restaurants we have in the UK.. Just come and enjoy
