We had a lovely time, the cottage is so close to the beach we had breakfast there on several mornings. . However, you can't be shy when staying at the Custom House as lots of people walk past: stop, take an interest and comment!

A lovely quaint cottage, perfect for two. Facilities were excellent allowing us to have excellent meals using delicious fresh fish sourced locally. Definitely returning.

“Delightful cottage centrally positioned in Aldeburgh”
Reviewed 29 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

A recently renovated very old cottage "The Old Custom House". Warm, cosy and comfortable with all equipment available including games, books, videos, etc. Within a few minutes walk (at most) of all the main facilities of Aldeburgh. It is in the High Street but don't be put off by this as it is very quiet! A stone's throw from the beach (excuse the pun). Highly recommended, I spent 18 consecutive nights there and was very happy with this dear little cottage. A special mention must go to Angela Young whose business looks after this cottage; an exceptionally attentive generous person who will go out of her way to help you to enjoy your stay. Her business now hires out cycles for those inclined.

“Super cosy cottage in amazing location!”

I stayed at the Old Custom House for 10 days in October and had the best time, it's so cosy, really stylish and the finish is to a high standard which really makes a difference. The location is amazing, literally not even a minute walk to the top of the high street and the beach, perfect for walks, jogging, fish and chips and shopping! There are great places to go for coffee, food, snacks and brilliant local butchers, farm shops etc. The cottage doesn't have a washing machine but Angela from coastal cottages said they would be happy to do any laundry for me so no problem there. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!!
