Description: Sam and the team at The Lighthouse restaurant welcome every customer into a relaxed atmosphere which instantly makes you feel at home. With three different eating locations, downstairs, upstairs and the courtyard, The Lighthouse offers a 'Sleepy Suffolk' approach to eating out, with you dictating the pace of your evening. The Lighthouse chefs work tirelessly to continue to produce mouth-watering dishes for the A la carte menus and, the lunch & pre-cinema menu. With the creations of the dishes, Head Chef Guy Welsh ensures that the ingredients for all his dishes are as local as possible, with much of the fish coming right off the beach in Aldeburgh, our duck coming from Norfolk based Gressinghams, Five Winds butchers in Melton for our juicy steaks and local salad leaves from Sue Allen in Thorpeness. To round off the perfect evening, The Lighthouse offers a wide selection of tempting wines and local Adnams beers to compliment all of our dishes.

A great restaurant in this popular sea side town. Very good service . Attractive surroundings. Food was varied and well cooked . Set menus and al a carte menus to choose from, drinks reasonably priced. Would go again for sure

We are lucky to have friends that have a holiday home hear where we were invited to stay over Easter. We visited the restaurant for dinner on Sunday night. A lovely warm friendly greeting by the owner, and though it was late in the evening the place was full with diners. Lovely atmosphere and lovely service. A lovely choice of menu including a special 2 or 3 course Easter menu that the owner was happy to let you mix with the regular menu. A tasty crab linguini pesto starter, followed by a really excellent beer battered fish (cod) and chips, washed down with a good glass of house rose. Was too full for dessert which was a shame as there were several that appealed to me and seeing some of them coming out from the kitchen to other diners, they looked really good.
Fairly priced for good fresh food. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area.

What a lovely surprise to find The Lighthouse open on a Monday night in March to celebrate a birthday!
The restaurant was buzzing and full and the service was friendly and efficient
Delicious food - oysters of course... scallops, sea bass, cod - all super fresh and beautifully presented.

Had lunch here today and could not fault the service or the food. Arrived early and were shown to our table straight away. Really lovely food and excellent service. Will visit again next time I'm in Aldeburgh.
