We are staying at the Wentworth Hotel but decided to share a bottle of red at the Brudenell. The wine was great and the view was lovely however the waitress seemed to think we weren’t worthy of being there let alone drinking wine and she forgot my order of nuts and crisps to go with the drink. When we were ready to leave she called to us asking if we had asked for the bill...got the feeling they thought we were leaving without paying! Felt like second class citizens won’t be returning

We hired a private dining room (Avocet) for my Mum's 60th this week. The food was incredible and the service was fantastic! We were served by Rob who's service was exceptional and along with his great sense of humour made us all feel welcome, relaxed and we had the most amazing time. The Avocet Room was very well set out, clean and secluded so we could enjoy some quality family time with my 4 month old nephew whilst also celebrating my Mum's birthday. We also returned for the breakfast the following which was the best hotel breakfast I've ever had and Rob and his team were all great, thank you so much. I would highly recommend a visit and we will certainly be coming back.

Just returned from another short break to this lovely hotel. The staff of the hotel are friendly and helpful, with nothing being to much trouble.
We had room 201, which is large and comfortable with views of the sea.
Highly recommended a visit if you like your destinations quite and relaxing.

Just had a 2 night stay at the Brudenell, let me first start on the positive comments..

The hotel was lovely, the staff are very friendly, and the food was superb.... BUT.

Our room was extremely noisy. This became apparent as soon as we approached the door. We entered the room and within 10 minutes the constant hum that could be felt as well as heard was driving us stir crazy, I contacted the reception desk and asked politely if we could exchange our room for a quieter room but unfortunately the only spare room they had was next door and not really any better. The noise as explained to me by reception was the kitchen extract fan. This finally went off at 11pm but unfortunately woke us up at again at 6am so not much rest was to be had. On our second night we sat up watching the TV waiting for the extract to switch off again at 11 so we could finally get some sleep only to then hear a hoover whining for the next 25 minutes!! Unfortunately the lack of sleep marred what would have been a very pleasant stay and we couldn't wait to get back home and sleep!! Don't let this review put you off staying here because apart from this a nice time was had. But please make sure upon booking you have not been allocated room 110.

Dear Backy79

Many thanks for your recent review. It's always nice to read such positive comments around the food and the team.

The extractor fan is timed to turn off at the earliest possible opportunity to minimise the noise is can cause. I do apologise that this has marred your stay.

Maintenance is due to commence very early 2019 in order to quieten the fan further more.

I look forward to welcoming you back in the very near future.

Regards

Rob

If you want an unspoilt seaside location, beside two miles plus of unbroken pebble beach, a quaint Victorian atmosphere with shops and pubs and restaurants..............................go to Aldeburgh and stay at the Brudenell Hotel. With seasonal offers, locally sourced food (especially the seafood), an excellent restaurant, with fabulous breakfasts and dinners, it is never likely to let down. I have been visiting here over the past 7 years and never been disappointed. The rooms are of a high standard, the bedding crisp and comfortable and decor fresh and fitting a marine setting. Just returned from a two night stay, just had to say ''Well done''.

Room tip: Try to chose a sea view, if not a view over the marshes. Try not to get the room next to the lift (its not that disconcerting actually)
