What a wonderful street - unchanged for centuries, full of life - but not full of cars. It’s just a few meters from the Cathedral and it’s free!

I’m so pleased I checked trip advisor before I went to Wells as this is one of those hidden places that you may not stumble across. It’s well worth a visit and is close to the cathedral.

This is beautiful, and part of the whole Wells Cathedral experience. Very interesting, don't miss the Vicar's Close.

This is a wonderful place to visit - a medieval street built in the mid 1300’s - I think it is the oldest occupied medieval street in Europe. Close to the Cathedral too so both attractions are easily visited.

Wonderful to walk down this street and imagine all the history that has taken place here. You can sometimes hear the musicians from the cathedral school practising which is also very atmospheric. Well worth a visit.
