Two or three times a year my wife and I enjoy a one-week self-catering holiday in England. Of all the cottages and apartments we have stayed in, the Beanacre Barn has clearly been the best, both for the superb quality of the accommodation and the wide range of nearby places to visit and things to do. Until recently we had never booked the same accommodation twice, but we were so impressed by a week at the Beanacre Barn in 2015 that we returned this year for a two-week stay.
The Beanacre Barn has been beautifully converted to provide modern comforts in a traditional setting. As holiday cottages go, it is exceptionally spacious and it is equipped with everything you could need — including Wi-Fi that actually does its job efficiently. It also has its own beautiful and peaceful walled garden. I don’t need to write more about the accommodation because the barn’s website gives you all the information you need about this delightful place.
The owners, Susan & Tony, who live in the adjacent Church Farm House, are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. It is no surprise that VisitEngland has bestowed its Gold Award on the accommodation.
