You need to just go and this very old chapel and alms houses. The gardens are a joy and this is a different side to Glastonbury.

Well worth a visit to this charming chapel - it was full of the scent of lilies on the altar. The garden is very pretty. Fascinating to look at one of the almshouses which is furnished in the manner of when it was last lived in.

A beautiful little piece of history and a place of calm contemplation in our busy town. The delightful gardens are very peaceful and enclosed. The volunteers brought this garden back to life and it shows their love for the place.

Originally part of the towns wall, this tiny ‘put you up’ for travellers or hospital gave it’s name to the street it sits on, ‘spital street! Now renamed Magdalene St after the chapel. Not as obvious to find as the Tor or Abbey etc but shouldn’t be missed.
