Bit of a trek to get there although driving through the gorge was impressive! The little village itself is quaint but given the time of year the only thing open was the cheese shop. The cave matured and vintage were my favourites and so were the geese straws.

We had a good look around the shop where there were a fantastic display of cheeses. We then went next door to the cafe where I had a Blue Stilton and Broccoli pie warmed up and cut into quarters. It was delicious. Definitely worth a visit around brunch, lunch or tea time.

With so many to choose from and unlimited tastings available, how difficult is it to choose which ones to purchase? They are all such good quality and delicious flavours - it's just a cheese lovers haven, Would definitely recommend.

Visited during a brief trip/drive through the Cheddar Gorge in July 2016. Friendly, inviting shop selling a range of local cheeses, ciders and other local goods/produce. We could sample some of the cheese and cider before buying. We could have easily bought similar products from other shops in the village, but the gentleman who served us was very friendly and knowledgable about his products, so made us want to buy from him. The cave matured cheddar is GORGEous!
