Just back from 3 nights at Bucklegrove, the location is lovely great views of country side, we stayed in a 3 bedroom lodge (num2) on site. These were lovely plenty of space for us, all mod cons required, great decking area & the kids loved the hot tub. Check in & out was easy. We ate at the lounge on the last night, the food was good, portion sizes were generous which meant I didn’t have enough space for a pudding! The pool is small but fine enough all the same. This is a great location for visiting other attractions in the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again x

Stayed here for a long weekend in a superior caravan - perfectly fine, clean, all needs covered for with well equipped kitchen.

Stayed with a four month old baby - no issues.

Site has plenty to do, pool is nice, we didn’t venture in to the lodge bar. We

Great location for Wells, Cheddar and Glastonbury.

We would stay again.

We have recently purchased a campervan and looked for an ideal site for our first weekend away. I came across Bucklegrove on the Internet and instantly knew it was the place for us.
Not many site are open all year and with the Lodge bar, restaurant and the swimming pool all looked brilliant and just what we wanted, none of which we actually found the time to visit and the location was perfect, so I booked.
On arrival we checked in and were given a map of the site and shown to our pitch which was 101 next to the toilet block in The Grove. I wasn't too sure about being parked up next to the toilet block at first but it really wasn't an issue in the slightest and on the coldest weekend of the year it was actually a godsend on visits to the loo! We had fields in front of the van with sheep and chickens roaming around and it really was a perfect spot.
At night it was so dark on site and star gazing is amazing here, virtually no light pollution and views over the stunning landscape. It was so peaceful and we had no trouble sleeping at all!
We will definitely return during warmer months and make the most of the amenities on site, maybe stay a little longer and enjoy the surrounding areas and beautiful countryside.
Overall, Bucklegrove was a perfect choice for our first memorable weekend away in our van and I think many more happy memories to come.

Was on a day trip to cheddar gorge decided to find a campsite for my vw t 4 transporter for the night. Check internet for some where close to stay. This was the first site that caught my eye as was only couple of miles away. Drove to the site reception which was closed as it was a Sunday evening phoned out of hours number gentleman answered and come straight to reception and met me with a friendly greeting. Was not sure as wanted pitch a last minute but luckily they had some available. Hard stand with electric. All facilities included. As seen on web site for a very reasonable price for three adults and a dog of £15 for the night. Good size pitch. Hot showers and toilets close by. Did not use in door pool but it looked lovely. Club house come restaurant was very tidy and welcoming food on offer from bar cooked to very high restaurant quality with a visit from a very friendly chef to ask if all was ok. With full bellies we gave him a more than happy reply. All in all a very nice camp site. Would highly recommend and we would stay here again.

Staying Friday until Monday on a short break booked via Hoseasons, we were looking forward to our break. Due to work commitments we wouldn't make the standard check-in time so phoned ahead because we knew we'd be arriving after 9pm in the evening but they said that was fine because we could pick up keys from the lodge (bar) on site.
We arrived in the dark so couldn't really see much of the site, but the following morning we woke to a beautiful day, with great views of the county as our caravan was quite high up on the site and was very private, having screening around a garden area with picnic bench and hot tub.
It's a quaint small site, with little to do in terms of activities other than swimming or walking but as we were using it as a base, this was fine for us.
The lodge didn't open until 4pm so eating was limited to evening meals but maybe that was due to the time of year, however the caravan was adequately equipped (oven and microwave) and there are other options within driving distance in Wells or Cheddar.
We did eat at the lodge during our stay and the food was very good, the staff are friendly and the prices weren't too over priced.
All in all a great weekend, good location and very clean accommodation. We were very pleased and if we can, will return.
