This house and it's location could not have been better for our extended family to come together from across the world.
Situated just off Pulteney Bridge, the location was perfect for easy access to the city center, Waitrose grocery store and The Abbey, and the views over the weir and river were just perfect.
The house itself, being Georgian, is split over several floors, so there are allot of stairs, however the drawing room and dining room are only separated from the kitchen by a short flight of stairs and were not an issue for our group.
The only en-suite bedroom is at the top of the house, all other bedrooms have access to "family" style bathrooms/shower rooms, and there were several available, so again not an concern for us.
We did have a very minor issue with the shower head in the main family bathroom, however this is a newly renovated property, so we put that down to teething troubles post reno, and the management company will be able to get it fixed very quickly/easily. Another minor concern was caused by the shop sign for the restaurant on the ground floor. It was very windy on a couple of nights during our stay and the sign would swing violently at times causing it to clang and bang - this did wake one of our party a few times.
The management company (Laura's Townhouse Apartments) were very professional and easy to deal with. Communication was quick and clear and they took care of all our requests - including decorating the house for Christmas, which added to this very special occasion for our family.
