We decided on Browns for our last dinner at Bath. Like some restaurants, we arrived and were ignored for a while by the waiters. Finally, we were tended to by a waitress who first told us they did not have the wine we had asked for, then she did not find the second choice but the first one. She forgot the scallops we had ordered as appetizer. I have to say the pasta with truffle oil was DELICIOUS. We asked for our bill and the service was included. We paid and when the waitress saw we were not leaving an additional tip to the one already charged she turned her head, threw the credit card boucher on the table and left. In the ten days we had been in England we had received great service at hotels, restaurants and PUBs. This was the first time someone treated us so badly and with such disrespect for not leaving a tip on top of the service charged by the restaurant. If you want to be treated with respect, go somewhere else. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from.
