Wonderful city enriched with character and history - lovely boutique shops, lots of Christmas spirit and truly worth a visit - allow at least two days.

Worth a wander, and a look in the shops, particularly in the market. Looking up at the abbey, we wondered how many people had strolled there before us.

A turn onto Bath Street opened up our eyes to the amazing Bath Abbey. My sister-in-law and I were looking forward to our Bath visit, but we were not prepared to visit our favorite city. We parked in the underground shopping center parking garage but it was expensive. It did get us close to where we wanted to be so anyone with mobility issues would have it easier to see the sights.

Spectacular - you have to visit. Tips we were given that were super helpful: Go later in the day, sometimes its very busy in the day, we went mid afternoon and stayed late into the night, the lights were beautiful and the crowds were manageable. We also made use of the park and ride (bus) so parking was a breeze and we the buses come past frequent enough that you dont wait too long. The shops are beautiful, sometimes a bit pricey but the wares are unique and well made so worth it. Lots of places to eat, mulled wine, hot cider, warm apple juice and hot chocolate at every corner. We did A LOT of our Christmas shopping here!!
