Idyllic setting overlooking Bath set in beautiful village of Bathampton. Delightful house with a terrace to sit on with drinks in the early evening - we chose from the cocktail list which was select but both classic and creative.
Very comfortable and classically decorated room with good beds and bedding.
A pretty conservatory (with views) and dining room for breakfast. Good breakfast. Room rates are good for what you're getting. Getting into Bath was either a quick taxi ride or a more adventurous walk down through the extensive gardens and along the canal (approx 20 minutes).
Both Sue as Grant were attentive and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. I'm pleased that you were able to take advantage of our terraces and enjoy some pre-dinner drinks. You were also lucky with the weather to be able to do the walk into Bath via the canal towpath. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. One night over a weekend. A bit out of town centre but 5 min with uber.
Very clean, very friendly staff, everyone helpful and kind. Could do with a little more on the continental breakfast buffet but the cooked breakfast was delicious.
Overall a very nice stay.

Sadly we had just one night's stay and wished we had longer. The rain prevented us from walking along the canal tow path into Bath but when it dried up we had a lovely walk through the extensive gardens. The food was 1st class and the staff extremely attentive and very friendly as was Sue, the proprietor. Plenty of info available for sightseeing.

Room Tip: Tennyson room 6 has a good view of the garden

This lovely Victorian era home on the outskirts of Bath is gorgeous. The house is spacious and well maintained, and the gardens are amazing. It is a bit outside of town so I got there by taxi, but some could choose to walk. A bus stop is nearby. I had the "Dicken's room" and found a copy of Oliver Twist on the best to read. I enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge, followed by a fabulous home-cooked dinner. I was very happy there and slept well. Bath itself is one of the prettiest cities in England, and perhaps all of Europe and is very walkable. Be sure to see the fascinating Roman baths exhibit.

Room Tip: My room as small, so you might ask about room size. All are unique.

Donald, thank you for the review. I'm delighted that you felt comfortable at Tasburgh House and pleased you were able to take advantage of all we have to offer, from our evening supper menu to our seven acres of grounds. It is always nice when a guest appreciates the literary theme of each room. I will pass on your kind comments to the rest of the team. If you're ever in South West England again, be sure to visit us!

We had a brilliant stay, ten of us, took five rooms and we were given exclusive access to a dining room. So we dressed up in dinner jackets etc.
the food was very reasonable and the drinks supplied most imaginative.
fantastic beds and linen, goose down pillows.
The hotel atmosphere was very much like staying in a large country house.

a highlight for us all was the wonderful service and the hotel gave us permission to leave our cars after check out so that we could wander into Bath, via the canal path and go back to the hotel, use the loos etc at about 3pm.

there was a bit of a mix up with sorting out our invoices but this was easily explained as the senior member of staff had unfortunately suddenly been taken ill. but the hotel sorted out our queries in a speedy helpful manner.

Richard, thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. I'm delighted that you all left with fond memories of Tasburgh House and your time together in Bath. We aim to offer all the comforts of a luxury 'five star hotel' at affordable prices. It was a pleasure to meet you all, and what a great idea to meet annually like you do! I'm pleased you were able to take advantage of the canal walk - it really is beautiful at this time of year. I hope you are all able to visit again, be that together or individually.
