Really exceptional, in all respects. The audio tour adds so much in-depth enjoyment to the visit of this ancient site. Yeah, Romans finally did fail and Rome did fall, but, wow, when they got things right, they got them RIGHT! When the Romans were using this, the water was as clear as any modern swimming pool...now, algae colors it green.

See everything if you can, make a wish at the pool, and be SURE to taste the actual water toward the end of the tour but only at the designated fountain! It will be a little brackish, but, hey, it might cure what ails ya.

It is amazing that these have lasted as long as they did and it shows how decadent the \Romans were 2000 years ago as they bathed nude together-men and women and children. The Romans certainly were strong in early time-going to Britain and Egypt and many other places

My daughter and I spent a little more than an hour here and enjoyed it. The audio-guides are worth listening to as you stroll through. The holographic displays in some of the areas are excellent and help take you back to this fascinating historical place. We visited before lunch and did not have to stand in line for tickets, but some of the exhibit areas were quite crowded. If you don't like that feeling of thick crowds, zip past the tight exhibit area downstairs and spend your time gazing on the pool rooms and listening to the audio-guide stories there.

Did you know the Romans occupied at one time this city which is now called, Bath? Well worth the British pounds. Plan for a good 90 minutes to enjoy all that is offered! The Roman Baths are very interesting, but so is the self guided historical tour leading up to the baths. Make sure to taste the water at end of tour upstairs. I suggest going early or evening to avoid lines. The Baths are lit with torches so in evening it makes it a bit more special in my opinion.
