The cottage was clean, warm and well equipped. Low doorways needed a little getting used to but it was a pleasure to stay in such an interesting character cottage. Given its proximity to the town it was very very quiet and peaceful. There was a small issue with a radiator but the owners responded very quickly to put things right which was reassuring and we would would have no hesitation is staying there again.
Lovely cottage and great location.
The welcome basket a very welcome touch.Really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.
This little gem of a cottage is ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of the beautiful medieval town of Ludlow. The cottage is absolutely charming, comfortable and very well equipped - I can't think of a single thing that you'd want for really. Being so old, the cottage doorways and staircase are lower than some people might be used to, so watch your head if you're tall like me!
The owners are lovely people and very helpful. They were there to meet us when we arrived to welcome and show us around the property, which was a really nice touch. They had also left us some basic grocery essentials (milk, juice etc.) in the fridge and other items, which was so very generous of them and really appreciated after our long drive from the south coast!
Two of us stayed for three days in June. This is a lovely cottage in a great location in Ludlow, it's just a few minutes from the market, the castle and all the shops and restaurants. The cottage has lots of character and is very comfortably furnished, I slept very well! The kitchen is very well equipped, everything we wanted was there. There is even a lovely little courtyard where you can sit. Although it's very central we weren't bothered by any noise. However, you are likely to bang your head on a low beam and the stairs are rather narrow, but that's what you get with a house this old, isn't it?
A lovely homely cottage with lots of character features and a traditional, family feel. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Ludlow and easy access to some picturesque country walks. I visited for a girls weekend with some old friends and we had a fantastic time exploring! The only (very minor) downside were the low doorways, but in a property like this low ceilings are to be expected - just remember to duck!
