Description: The Orangery Restaurant combines grand architecture and elegant design. Historically used as a store for orange trees and then as a private theatre, the Orangery has a significant place in the history of Blenheim Palace, and now is open to visitors as a stunning brasserie-style restaurant, serving elevenses, lunch and Afternoon Tea daily. Our menu celebrates fabulously British food, with seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients both from the Blenheim Palace Estate and local farms.

We were visiting Blenheim which is an all day affair. Take the tour of the Kitchen. We wanted a quiet place for lunch with table service to relax in the middle of the day. The Orangery was great! The food was excellent, best meal I had in England. Our server Luis was attentive and we had a charming conversation with him on some of the history of Blenheim. Overall an excellent choice. They use all fresh ingredients from the gardens at Blenheim Palace.

Bad experience. Service terrible and no one checked on us after our order was served. Water was not refilled. To top it off , it was 52 pounds for 2 people and they tacked on a 6.50 service charge! Food was worth 5 pounds at most. We got very little tea. And we ran out in the first 5 minutes and weren’t offered a refill. I would have gladly paid for more water! Ate the sandwiches dry. No tea no water. We finally had to ask for the bill or I think we’d still be sitting there. Honestly the only bad experience we’ve had in the U.K. and it was truly disappointing.

Can’t be more pleased with the very kind, attentive service led by Luis. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The fish cake was delicious.

Truly great and friendly service is very rare so I am grateful to Luis for making sure I had a nice view of the palace estate and that everything was up to standard. Service was always timely and efficient. He even took a special interest in the cat who travels with me.

Thanks so much, keep up the great work!

We have been to Blenheim Palace and Gardens many times enjoying the many cafe-type eateries but opted for a first visit to The Orangery to celebrate a very special wedding anniversary. What a wonderful experience. In beautiful surroundings were greeted and served by very friendly and respectful staff. Our waitress was Chiara (originally from Sicily) and we enjoyed her company as much as we did the top quality cuisine. Chiara was very friendly with genuinely interesting conversation and a deep knowledge of the menu which facilitated my sometimes tricky dietary requirements. An excellent afternoon was topped off by totally unexpected complimentary drinks to help celebrate our special occasion with an amateur photographer on hand! Thank you so much for a wonderful day.
