An excellent warm welcome. We ordered 6 dishes for the four of us and ended up ordering another 3 because they were delicious but just a little on the small side.

Took my husband here after lots of people raved about it. On entering you are met by a sign that says cash only... nowhere on their website/Facebook page does it say this. Having to go and get cash out on a rainy Friday night somewhat detracted from the enjoyment as we felt we had to keep an eye on what we where spending. Food was ok although how soy sauce has anything to do with tapas is rather beyond me. I have had better tapas in other local restaurants. Other main annoyance was the music.... why does it have to be so loud... I found it difficult to have a conversation with my partner never mind anyone else.
Unfortunately I don't think we will be back.

Adore Barrio; it’s simply an exquisite restaurant!

Service is friendly, relaxed and unrushed ... exactly how Tapas should be served! The owner cooks and serves and is super friendly and just wants all his customers to enjoy their meal!

The cocktails and drinks are reasonable priced along with the food. Dishes start at £3 and range up to £10

The food is freshly cooked, from quality ingredients! The sticky Chicken is a personal favourite; and the Prawns with garlic and Paprika is my husbands!

Decor is informal and quirky - very individual!

It’s normally booked up Fri/Sat nights so book in advance to avoid disappointment. Booking via Facebook!

We’ve been coming to Barrio regularly for the last year, and can say with confidence that Michael and his team are everything you’d hope for in a restaurant. The food is fresh, flavoursome, and cooked with real passion and flair. The decor is quirky and individual. The staff are attentive and friendly. A perfect, relaxed experience, and simply the best restaurant in Sherwood.

Behind the tired facade of a fake Spanish restaurant dwells Barrio tapas bar. Cool music and honest simple tapas; the Arroz al Horno is definitely with the the 30 minute wait. Great Churro’s. Friendly staff willing to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. No phone, so visit to book or use FB. Cash only.
