We have visited many historic houses but this is a home. It is lived in, cherished and cared for. It is a "free flow" visit and you can linger in areas of personal interest and spend time studying the many works of art. Very close to Nottingham but a oasis of tranquillity. We were fortunate to be able to visit the adjacent parish church with its many fine ancient monuments.
