Owner description: The earliest built brick building in the county. Built by Sir William Pierrepont in 1500 and still lived in by his descendants, the house surrounds a Courtyard Garden of 1875 possibly influenced by Nesfield on three sides with the local Parish Church of St Edmund on the fourth. The East Garden which was laid out in 1973 has a winter flower garden full of snowdrops, aconites, daffodils and hellebores among other plants. The wild Tulipa Sylvestris which has been here since the 17th century flowers in the park. The house has family portraits and regional furniture and welcomes groups on guided tours throughout the year. The house is also available for weddings, meetings, seminars and other such events.

We had a wonderful afternoon. The garden walk was beautiful and seeing wild tulips for the first time was a delight. The Hall is fantastic. I loved the Tudor bricks and the wooden beams. The whole atmosphere of the place is great.

I visited Holme Pierrepont Hall on Sunday to see the snowdrops. When I arrived I decided to visit the Hall and the Gardens £5
The Gardens are delightful in the spring. daffodils and spring flowers everywhere I was directed around by arrows and pasted through a meadow with Jacob sheep and lambs in. The snowdrop wood was a little disappointing because the snowdrops were nearly over my fault for not going sooner.
The house was very interesting lots of local history. The tea room served home made cakes along with tea and coffee
Look around the Church next door
A good afternoon out and you can visit Holme Pierrepont Water Centre at the same time

I must say what a wonderful place this is if your not looking for a large formal sit down wedding (think the main room would be a little small for a large one!) Our friends got married here in Dec 2016! Lots of lovely warm rooms with cracking fires, old beams, cocktails, and bowls of wonderful food, great wedding, lovely venue

Having checked a few local venues, we chose Holme Pierrepont as the perfect place for our big day. Robert is great, really laid back but can't do enough to help. Absolutely no hassle before,on or after the big day.
The house and gardens are superbly maintained and people have constantly told us what a perfect venue it was for our wedding. All of our guests had a wonderful day, mingling in the gardens and wandering through the house.
If we were going to do it all again, we'd still go back to Holme Pierrepont. Thanks Robert.
