The food has recently been awarded an AA rosette and features traditional pub classics such as home battered fish and chips or our Pie & Mash; mixed with some more modern twists such as Lobster & Shrimp Mac & Cheese. This is an old pub which is now an integral part of the Lace Market hotel.
Visited with family on lunchtime on Sunday.
Warm welcome on entering the bar, nice fire and seating area. Other areas are, down stairs to what must have been the cellars, large screen TV and then back up the stairs to a small room with three 4 seat tables. We sat in there, just us, a lovely quiet space.
Good service, small menu, including the usual Sunday roasts, mix and match from the menu ok. Food very good, adequate if not smallish portions, lead us to have three courses, first for a long time.
Other food options are in another bar and fine dining in the restaurant. Well worth a visit.

We popped in to try out the bear range based on the previous online reviews we had seen. There are four cask ales to choose from (which include a porter) and the ones we tried were really well kept. Its a little on the small side inside but it is well decorated, clean and smart. It also had a warm fire going at the time of our visit which was very welcome it having snowed that day. We visited on a Monday and the beer was £2.50 a pint, the bar is also dog friendly.

A good location to meet up with friends at lunch time, not been in since refurbishment - they have done a good job whilst retaining that warm welcoming atmosphere.

Not too busy so got great service, friendly and helpful with advice on the beers on offer as well as wine deals - many thanks to the barman.

Very comfortable and didn't want to leave but had to meet up with others in town, so cannot comment on the food offer

Cosy traditional oub in Nottingham's lace market. They had a fab selection of real & craft ales. With a roaring fire it was the perfect place to have a cosy Sunday evening.
