“Perfect apartment in a perfect York location through a thoughtful host”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This was our first apartment booking via Tripadvisor for a short break in York with our 17 month old toddler. The location of the apartment was spot on for our needs, being close to the museum gardens, York minster and within easy walking distance of the National Railway Museum. There was the added bonus of a good variety of cafes and restaurants on the doorstep and a Sainsbury's Local 10 seconds away. Parking was also available if needed (and Frank also offers station pick-up for those travelling by public transport). The apartment itself was tastefully decorated and truly felt like a home away from home. It was spotlessly clean, equipped with all one would need for even a longer stay and was a welcome place to relax in comfort. Our toddler particularly liked the mini antique style chair which he could climb up to sit in by himself. Although the apartment is not particularly advertised with children in mind, we contacted Frank who was happy for us to stay. With the relocation of a couple of decorative glass dishes and CDs out of our toddler's reach, we able to relax and let him explore and enjoy his new surroundings. In terms of booking, Frank was easily contactable via Tripadvisor and always responded promptly and was as friendly and approachable in person as he appeared via our message exchanges. It is clear that he takes pride in providing a high quality rental experience through little touches such as supplying milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine for the stay. Our only "regret" is that we didn't book to stay longer than our two nights. We highly recommend Frank and this apartment and hope to be able to stay again on our next visit. Many thanks for a very comfortable stay during our time in York.

“Lovely apartment, very cosy and ideally located”
Reviewed 31 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We've stayed in York several times before, and this was the best place we've stayed at. The apartment is ideally located, within minutes from everything. The area itself has several good restaurants nearby.

Everything was really clean, the kitchen was well equipped & the bed is one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in (we even had to make a note of the brand of mattress!). Frank was a brilliant host, collecting us from the station and showing us how everything in the apartment worked. He left us with milk in the fridge for tea, and a bottle of wine.

Highly recommended, this place will not disappoint. We will definitely be back.

“Great location, well equipped flat”
Reviewed 10 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Was a perfect place to stay - a few minutes walk from the city, plenty of places to eat and drink within easy wandering distance, and near enough to be able to pop back in the day for a break.

Frank was a perfect host, responsive to questions, and the small touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a bottle of wine left on the table for us was appreciated as we arrived very late from the train.

Taxi from the station was only £5, and it's an easy walk if you prefer. A little Sainsburys next door was very handy for provisions.

Flat was well equipped with everything we needed, and a washer-dryer was surprisingly useful and meant we headed home with clean dry clothes,

Negatives? Not many. Flat is a little dated, but perfectly clean. Heating is storage heaters so a little uncontrollable, but very effective.

Will definitely look to stay again next time we are in York.

“Wonderful Apartment”
Reviewed 14 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We spent a week in York and stayed in this lovely apartment. It was so comfortable and had everything you could wish for. Situated just outside the city walls and inky minutes walk from the Minister and city centre. Frank was SO helpful and accomodating even down to leacing milk and a bottle of wine. We also paid him a small cee tomuse his car parking space at the rear of the apartment in a safe a d separate chained off area. It was so handy to have the car there as it enabled us to have a day travelling to the North Yorkshire Moors, Whitby and Scarborough. Lots if lovely restaurants, cafes and bars. We recommended Gert & Henry's in the town and also Bettys for a wonderful afternoon tea. The most wonderful week and we would highly recommend this wonderfully, conveniently sitauted cosy apartment. Thank you Frank for such an amazingly comfortable stay.
